First, open a new page so that it takes you to your homepage. That is where you will find all the various thumbnail links that lead directly to the websites you visited the most, recently. Once you know which ones you want to remove, position your cursor on top of each, one by one, and simply click on the “x” which will appear once you hover on top of it. It will appear in the top right corner of the image.
If you want to remove everything all at once, there is an easy way to do so as well. You need to go in your browsing history, which you will find at the top right corner when you click on the three dots “…”. Then, look for History and clear it. Since there will be no memory of where you have gone before, the boxes where your favourite destinations would normally be, will now be blank.
How to Add a Website to the Links on Your Homepage?
The beauty of the internet today is that it’s all very user-friendly. If you want to add a new direct link, the easiest way is simply to remove one already there. Chances are the next one to come-up will be the one you are looking for, if you are visiting it often. If it isn’t, you can keep going with this process until you actually get to the one you want.
The other way to add a link is to drag and drop thumbnails directly from the “Most Visited Pages” section. After that, you’ll simply have to keep going to the website of your choice a sufficient amount of time for Google to decide to replace one of the links for this new one.
If you really don’t want to keep typing the address, then there is one solution left. You can decide to bookmark the website so that you only have to go inside the section and click on the link to get to it. But honestly, this might take even more time than just typing the address inside the bar, unless it’s a complicated one.
